The Agriculture sensor is available in two variants. This one is the pole/wall mount version with an external probe, which is best for agricultural use. This sensor unit can be screwed to a wall or fence post, or attached to a pole, vine or tree using cable ties or pole clamps. There is a version with built-in probes which is best for greenkeeping.

The sensor shipped with a battery pre-installed, deployment involves connecting the probe and burying it at the chosen depth, then waking the unit from sleep mode using a magnet to begin measurements.
